My life in Africa began in 1978. I worked at the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool. The company embarked on a joint venture - "The Zambia-Canada Wheat Development Project".

Focus of the project was large-scale seeding of wheat and the training of Zambian farmers. Development of 4500 hectares of wheat cropland was planned in the short-term. In addition, a research program was carried out to determine suitable agronomic practices for the region.

The farm was established in the Mbala area of northern Zambia

(Left) I'm exploring my new backyard, with a trusty Canon AE-1.

I worked with the Wheat Pool through 2001.
